Packing & Unpacking
Packing is where a move is won or lost. Boxes that are labelled by room and contents turn unpacking from an excavation into an afternoon.
Full-service packing covers the whole home, including the drawers and closets people leave until midnight. Partial packing targets the categories that break or take longest: kitchens, glassware, art, electronics, and anything with a screen or a lens.
Fragile items are individually wrapped and cushioned in cartons sized to the contents, not to the space left in the truck. Dishes go on edge in dish packs, artwork travels in mirror cartons, and lamps are broken down into base, harp and shade.
Every carton is labelled with the destination room and a short contents note, and the inventory is left with you. On the other end, unpacking service includes flattening and removing cartons so you are not living with a wall of cardboard.
