Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Atlas North Moving website, requesting a quote, or booking our moving services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Moving Services
Atlas North Moving provides residential and commercial moving services, including loading, unloading, packing, unpacking, furniture moving, and other related moving assistance.
3. Services & Booking
The services included in your move will be described in your estimate, booking confirmation, or applicable moving agreement. A booking is considered confirmed once any required deposit or other confirmation requirements have been completed.
4. Estimates & Pricing
Estimates are based on the information provided by the Customer and are not guaranteed unless specifically identified as a fixed-price agreement. Changes to the inventory, requested services, access conditions, moving locations, or other circumstances may affect the final cost, subject to applicable law.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about their move, having belongings properly prepared unless packing services have been arranged, informing Atlas North Moving of any special requirements, and providing reasonable and safe access to the pickup and delivery locations.
6. Elevators, Parking & Access
Customers are responsible for arranging elevator reservations, parking permissions, building access, loading zones, and any other required approvals. Stairs, long carries, difficult access, restricted parking, elevator delays, or other access-related issues may increase the time required to complete the move and may result in additional charges where applicable.
7. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Customers should notify Atlas North Moving as soon as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule a booking. Any applicable cancellation fees, deposits, or rescheduling conditions will be handled in accordance with the booking agreement and applicable Ontario law.
8. Moving Schedule & Delays
Estimated arrival and completion times are not guaranteed and may be affected by traffic, weather, road conditions, elevator availability, building restrictions, mechanical issues, delays from previous jobs, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
9. Valuable & Personal Items
Customers are strongly encouraged to personally transport cash, jewellery, gold, luxury watches, laptops, important documents, collectibles, antiques, artwork, family heirlooms, and other unusually valuable or irreplaceable items. Customers must disclose any high-value or fragile items they request Atlas North Moving to transport before the move.
10. Prohibited & Restricted Items
Atlas North Moving reserves the right to refuse transportation of hazardous, illegal, unsafe, or restricted items, including explosives, fireworks, flammable materials, certain chemicals, illegal substances, loaded firearms or ammunition, and any other items prohibited from transportation by applicable law.
11. Packing & Customer-Packed Items
Customers who pack their own belongings are responsible for ensuring that items are properly packed, secured, protected, and suitable for transportation. Atlas North Moving may refuse to transport items that are improperly packed, excessively heavy, leaking, damaged, unstable, or otherwise considered unsafe.
12. Furniture, Appliances & Specialty Items
Atlas North Moving will make reasonable efforts to disassemble and reassemble standard furniture when this service is included in the booking. Certain appliances, exercise equipment, gas-connected items, water-connected appliances, oversized items, or specialty equipment may require professional preparation, disconnection, or handling before they can be moved.
13. Damage, Loss & Claims
Customers should inspect their belongings and the relevant property areas following completion of the move and notify Atlas North Moving promptly of any loss or damage. Claims should include photographs, descriptions of the issue, proof of value where applicable, and any other supporting documentation reasonably requested.
14. Payment
Customers agree to pay all amounts stated in the applicable estimate, booking confirmation, moving agreement, or final invoice, including any properly authorized additional services or charges permitted by law. Applicable payment terms and accepted payment methods will be communicated before or during the booking process.
15. Safety
The safety of our Customers, movers, property, and belongings is a priority. Atlas North Moving reserves the right to stop, postpone, or refuse work where conditions are considered unsafe, including hazardous materials, dangerous weather, unsafe structures, blocked access, or threatening or abusive behaviour.
16. Applicable Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and applicable Canadian law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any rights or protections that cannot legally be waived. Customers are encouraged to contact Atlas North Moving first to resolve complaints, billing concerns, damage claims, or other disputes fairly and promptly.
